I practice tax law with a focus on tax dispute resolution.  I draw upon more than 25 years’ experience to help individuals and businesses come to a fair resolution of tax disputes, across a wide range of industries.

I have advised and successfully advocated for clients dealing with tax authorities in the course of audits, Objections, Tax Court appeals, rectification applications, voluntary disclosures, fairness applications and in protecting clients’ rights to privileged information.

I am able to assist clients with virtually any tax dispute matter.  Prior to joining Shea Nerland LLP I was a Canadian tax partner in global law firms and have previous experience acting as tax counsel on behalf of the Canada Revenue Agency. I have over 25 years’ experience as a litigator and have appeared in the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court as well as the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench and Alberta Court of Appeal.
